In a surprising crossover event that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret sect.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar tests and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Bonus Features
Players who accomplish the quest will acquire an unique katana together with numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
